This past summer I was inspired to make a necklace from the fact that I couldn't fathom paying for one of those expensive trendy necklaces from stores like J.Crew. Since I do really like the necklaces they sell, I set out to make something similar. Although these pictures don't really give the necklace justice I thought I would post it anyways. The ribbon (black grosgrain) is woven around the beads (clear blue and marble sized plastic) and left free at either end to tie into a bow to make necklace to desired length.
